1919 (Oct 31):  Type-written Official notice in French declaring the 'Constantinople-Bucharest' Airmail Service to be closed from the following day, largely due to a Sept 1919 cyclone that caused 2 million francs worth of damage and some resulting vandalism, together with the ensuing fire on Oct 6, 1919 which caused a further 3 million francs worth of damage. The Notice is struck with oval 'Poste Aerienne / Aéronautique / Armées d'Orient / Le Capitaine Bladinieres' cachet at base (possibly the Unit Adjutant) and struck at top with the Offcial 'thin' type ARMÉES ALLIÉES EN ORIENT / POSTE AÉRIENNE in violet. Rare and in all probability, a unique document, as sent to the Turkish newspaper 'Tasvir-i-Ekvir'. Illustrated by G. Sassower in his article in the 'London Philatelist' in May 2000 on page 131.
