De Correos / Tacna' datestamp (May 19) in black and by British Post Office ARICA datestamp (May 21). The cover then travelled via Panama and Southampton with London (July 2) transit datestamp in blue on reverse and was charged '2s./4d.' due to pay; thence via Aachen with circular 'Per England und Aachen Seebrief' datestamp in red (July 3) and with 'Andreasberg' arrival datestamps in blue all on reverse and manuscript '27' silver groschen to pay on receipt. Some edge wear and peripheral ageing but a remarkable and early entire to an unusual destination.

The pair with huge margins on all sides cancelled by 'Admon. Pral De Correos / Tacna' circular datestamp (18 June 1858) in black. Upper stamp with minor thin but a remarkable and extremely rare pair: the Percy Bargholtz census, this being fig. Cb2, records just five pairs, two of which are in the Tapling collection in the British Museum, the other two being sold by Corinphila in the Klaus Eitner collection in 2009.
